Live to Write - Write to Live

Two weeks from today is New Year’s. As I write this, I have no Christmas decorations up, final exams to grade, and presents to buy. But all of that is taking a back seat to my plan for the new year. I’m doing JanNoWriStart.

What is JanNoWriStart? Glad you asked.

JanNoWriStart is for those of us who punted on NaNoWriMo in November, and want another shot at a first draft. But I propose some rule changes. Rather than trying to get 50,000 words by the end of the month, I suggest setting a word count goal for each day. JanNoWriMo is about meeting that daily goal. “They” say that a habit is formed in 21 days. So this gives us 10 extra days to make sure it sticks.
