About Heather B. Costa

My name is Heather B. Costa and I am an aspiring writer who one day hopes to have her own book published. I only began writing seriously in 2012 and it has gone from being a hobby to a way of life.

I devote as much time as I can to learning my craft and developing my skills and I am now taking my first serious steps towards achieving my goals and becoming a published author in my own right.

Update: 2015

After much thought and consideration, I have decided to no longer accept or participate in the passing on of awards. I love the idea of bloggers nominating each other for such accolades and my decision to no longer participate is due solely to the many commitments that take up my time on a daily basis. I’ve been honoured to receive the awards that I have and I wish all bloggers, old and new, can partake in this community-building experience.

  14. Hi Heather,

I would like to nominate you to participate in a Writing Process Blog Meme.
If you accept my nomination, you will need to write an article prompted by the following four questions and post it on your blog on Monday, April 28, 2014. You’ll also nominate three writers of your choice to post their articles on their blogs on May 5, 2014. The four questions:

What am I working on at the moment?
How does my work differ from others of its genre?
Why do I write what I do?
How does my writing process work?

I’d be honored if you would accept this nomination. Please let me know ASAP so that I can feature your blog in my post on April 21, 2014. And I apologize that this is somewhat last minute – took me a while to figure out how to do this.

I will use your About Me Profile information to let my viewers know more about you, if you don’t mind. I won’t be be copying and pasting to my post until Sunday the 20th, so if you’d like to update the information you have time.

Thank you, (Hope all is well!!) I really hope you decide to try this. I’m excited to showcase your hard work.
    Audrey

    • I’m honoured that you’ve chosen me to take part in the ‘Writing Process’ blog hop. I took part in this a few weeks ago and so that is the only reason that I’m going to pass up on the offer on this occasion, I very much appreciate the fact that you nominated me to take part and the kind words you wrote about me in your post.

I’ll be over to your blog soon to read about your own writing process and I’m looking forward to finding out more about how and why you write. πŸ™‚

Thanks again for the nomination, I really appreciate it! πŸ™‚

      • Your welcome! I obviously missed that post…I’ve been behind in writing and reading, including other blogs. That’s beginning to change again thank goodness!

Hopefully you accept! Have a great day!

  29. The Meandering Matriarch has nominated me for the Very Inspiring Blogger award. In accepting this Award, I am required to nominate fifteen other blogs which I feel are deserving of this recognition. So I’ve nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger award. I apologize in that it takes a bit of time, but I am new at all this and feel it might be a good form of recognition if you choose to participate. Here are the rules:

Thank and link to the person who nominated you.
List the rules and display the award.
    Share seven facts about yourself.
Nominate 15 other amazing blogs and comment on their posts to let them know they have been nominated.
Proudly display the award logo on your blog and follow the blogger who nominated you, both are found at this link:

    • Thank you so much for nominating me for this award! πŸ™‚

I’ve already received and accepted this award in the past and so I am going to have to politely decline this one but that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate you taking the time to nominate me. Thank you, sincerely, for thinking of my little blog and I, it means a great deal to me ❀

  30. Hey, kiddo! I’ve nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award – because you have one lovely blog! No obligation to participate – unless you’d like. πŸ™‚

    • Mark, I must apologize for being such a bad blogging friend. I completely missed this under the hundreds of email notifications that I get from WordPress. I’m humbled that you’ve nominated me for this award but I am going to have to politely decline as I have decided that, as of 2015, I am no longer going to accept and pass on awards.

I love the idea of bloggers nominating others for awards, but I am struggling with time commitments and, sadly, one of the things that I have had to sacrifice is my acceptance and participation in passing on awards.

As always, you know I love you and your blog, my friend ❀

      • I am happy enough to know that you realize how much I respect and appreciate you and your, work, Heather. Thank you, my dear friend. ❀ I also stepped out of the award game recently, for all of the same reasons, after this one. πŸ™‚

  33. Hi, I’ve nominated you for the Encouraging Thunder award but just read the comments above so entirely understand if you don’t have the time to participate. Anyway, here’s the link for you to read my post/ find out more: https://kyrosmagica.wordpress.com/2015/06/09/my-goodness-another-award-the-encouraging-thunder-award/

    • Thanks so much for the award nomination, it is much appreciated! ❀

Sadly, due to time commitments I am no longer in a position to accept award nominations but I very much appreciate the thought and sentiment and wish the very best for you and your blog! πŸ™‚
